Young Finnish professional champions are selected through the annual Skill-championships, whose participants grow in number each year. There are over thirty fields represented in the competition and more are being added.

Competitors are under 23 years of age, either qualified or still learning a profession in vocational institutes. The Skills-competitions double as qualifying rounds for the WorldSkills Competition.

The Skills-competitions are organised and co-ordinated by Skills Finland ry. whose goal is to increase professional education, its standard and status in Finland.
